CHRISTIAN FORMATION

Here at Emmanuel, we talk about Christian Formation rather than Christian Education because we want to emphasize that we’re doing more than just learning about our faith. Life-long learning is a valuable component in what we do, but we are also finding ways to experience God and to deepen our relationship with the Holy One.

Additionally, Christian Formation is not something that can happen outside of community. God comes to us in relationship, and through relationship, we are able to receive concrete examples of God’s grace. Consider how we are living out this reality with our children, our youth, and our adults. Then ask yourself how you might be called to deepen your own relationship with God. Perhaps you too will find yourself participating in one of our forums, our classes, or other programs. Perhaps you will have ideas of ways in which we can move in new directions.
